Here’s 4 shots from a little session JD and I did in Stanley park last night. It was rainy and you’ll notice a couple drops on the lens, but the moisture in the air reflected the light really well and we got some cool photos.

Here’s comes a few of my Flickr photos from last night at Stanley Park. Dunford and I took a bunch of long exposure shots of the bridge and were playing around with flashing each other while the shutter was open to get this ghost effect.

These photos are out in front of my new house on Dollarton Highway in North Vancouver on the way out to Deep Cove in British Columbia, Canada. Here’s a couple expiraments with keeping the shutter open longer at night to get the motion blur. This one is 10 second exposure on a Canon 20d DLSR using a Canon 24-70mm f/2.6 L-series lens.

I don’t really know what I’m doing but it’s fun stuff. I might go downtown tonight where there is more action and try again.

Would love any advice or feedback on shooting things like this… moving lighted things at night to get a cool blur. Thx.

Wow… I just received what might be the first VoIP call from a in-motion vehicle. My friend and co-worker Tor from RaySat just called me from his laptop via Skype using a mobile hotspot generated in-motion by a van equipped with RaySat’s SpeedRay 3000 antenna.

They’re driving down the highway from Virginia into Washington DC. Incredible. It sounded really clear and we chatted for 5 minutes or so until he went into a tunnel and we lost our connection.

Long-time Vancouver designer friend Paul Jarvis of TwoThirty Media has just released a cool new icon set for sale on his site called TwoTiny. You gotta check this out and read the down to at least the 7th comment. This has to be one of the most unlikely meetups imagineable. Makes one boggle at the interconnectedness we share via technology. Quoted from the Flickr message board,

Today I bought this new Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens for my Canon 20d. This is my first lens other than the standard EF-S 18-55mm f/3,5-5,6 USM my camera came with. I’m pretty stoked. My friends will appreciate it I’m sure, with a little more telescopic power I can back off and get the camera out of your face.

Joe Playing Open Mic Night Somewhere on Commercial Drive

Last night Joseph Delamar played at Cafe Del Something on Commercial drive here in Vancouver. There was a ton of people there, he played three songs and they were well recieved… one lady neither of us had ever met or seen before was singing along by song three. He even claims he got approached for another record deal. Not bad for the self-proclaimed world’s biggest retard.
